Reclaim Red Zones

As we enter the Red Zone, we are excited to kick off our annual Reclaim Red Zone (RRZ) campaign! Reclaim Red Zones is our digital initiative focused on raising awareness, empowering survivors, and transforming the high-risk period known as the Red Zone into a time of safety, support, and advocacy on campuses.

For those who may not know, the Red Zone refers to the first few months of the academic year (August-November), when students—especially first-year students—are at a heightened risk of sexual violence. This campaign is our call to action to reclaim and transform these spaces into safe and supportive environments for everyone.

This year, we are thrilled to announce this year’s Reclaim Red Zones theme: Reclaiming Your Voice! In light of the importance of the new Title IX regulations and the significance of this election year, we have chosen Reclaiming Your Voice to encourage participants to embrace and celebrate their identities, advocate for their beliefs, and connect meaningfully with diverse communities. Our goal is to broaden the traditional notion of expressing your voice beyond just spoken words to include art 🎨, relationships 💌, self-care & wellness ☕, and policy advocacy 🗳.

By exploring how to reclaim your voice in personal, interpersonal, and societal realms, we hope that this year’s Reclaim Red Zones will empower individuals to find and use their unique voices in multiple facets of their lives. Through a variety of events and activities over the next 11 weeks, we aspire to foster a space where every voice can be heard, valued, and amplified.
