Schools Where EROC Has Assisted Survivors In Filing
End Rape on Campus (EROC) staff members have assisted with numerous filings of Clery and Title IX complaints across the country. We have worked directly with campus activists from the following colleges and universities:
Hobart and William Smith Colleges
In February of 2014, EROC assisted the mother of a first-year student file Title IX and Clery complaints against the College for its gross mishandling of her daughter's report of a rape and the appeal she filed after HWS cleared three football players charged with gang rape.
In April of 2014, EROC assisted 23 Columbia University students with filing Title IX, Title II, and Clery complaints against the College.
In May of 2014, EROC assisted a Northeastern alumnus file Title IX and Clery complaint related to her rape case.
University of California at Berkeley
In May of 2013, students at the University filed a Clery Act complaint. After nine months with no response from the Department of Education, EROC assisted students file a new Title IX complaint and a second Clery complaint on behalf of 31 students and alumni for the school's "gross mishandling" of sexual assault cases.
University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
In March of 2013, the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights announced it was opening two investigations of UNC - Chapel Hill for violations of Title IX and the Clery Act.
In May of 2013, the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights opened an investigation into Occidental College for Title IX violations. A month later, a Clery investigation was opened.
In July of 2013, the Department of Education announced its investigation into Title IX violations after students filed a complaint.
In May of 2013, students at Dartmouth filed a Clery complaint. In July of 2013, a Title IX investigation was opened by the Department of Education.
University of Southern California
In July of 2013, the Department of Education announced its Title IX investigation into the school's handling of rape and sexual assault cases.
In October of 2013, students at Emerson College bravely filed a Title IX complaint against the College. In January of 2014, the Department of Education announced its Title IX investigation into the school's mishandling of sexual assault investigations.
University of Texas - Pan American
In February of 2014, EROC assisted complainants at the University of Texas - Pan American (UTPA) with filing a federal Title IX complaint related to the University's mishandling of sexual and intimate partner violence investigations.
University of Akron
In February of 2014, EROC assisted students with filing Title IX and Clery complaints related to the University's inadequate and plagiarized sexual assault policies that harmed students.
EROC assisted a student who wished to remain anonymous in filing complaints against PACE after the school forced her into an investigation when she sought medical help in the aftermath of being raped.
EROC provides services to complainants and their families. Not all individuals wish to publicly tell their stories or let their institutions know they have filed a complaint. This does not make their stories or cases any more or less valid, as no one should have to publicly tell their story to be heard. EROC has privately consulted with complainants who have filed Title II, Title IX, and/or Clery Act complaints at the following institutions:
